Now for the Good News!

As we said on the previous page, God created man as a perfect being in a perfect world where there was no suffering, pain or death.  But man decided to disobey God and go his own way. And that is just what we all do. “All we like sheep have gone astray, we have turned, every one, to his own way” (Isaiah 53:6 in the Bible).

However, because God loves His creation He also provided a way that we can become acceptable to Him. Very good news!

He sent His Son Jesus into the world. He lived a perfect life.  When He was put to death He willingly took upon Himself the punishment that our sins deserve. God accepted this sacrifice on behalf of those who are sorry for their sins, repent, and trust in the Lord Jesus as their Saviour.

He who believes in the Son has everlasting life; and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him. (John 3:36 in the Bible)

God requires of us that we acknowledge our sins and ask Him for forgiveness, turn away from sinning and accept what Jesus has done.

If we do that, we become acceptable to God. Isn’t that amazing?  We become in His sight as if we had never sinned.
